Suzuki Pedagogy
Certificate in Suzuki Pedagogy recipients are sought after for prestigious jobs throughout the United States and abroad. While most of the students are Master’s degree candidates, with approval undergraduates are able to take the courses after they have reached their junior level of studies. A certificate in Suzuki Pedagogy is available for those who meet the standards of the National Association of Schools of Music and hold a Bachelor of Music degree or its equivalent.
Students who complete Suzuki teacher training also have their training registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA). Our area has an active Suzuki community with teachers and students supported locally by the Eastern North Carolina Suzuki Association (ENCSA), state-wide by the North Carolina Suzuki Association (NCSA) and nationally by the SAA. ECU hosts the annual North Carolina Suzuki Institute each summer, which is attended by students from all over the county.
