Jordan Stancil
Jordan was born and raised in North Carolina and earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from ECU. In 2021, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BM in Music Theory – Composition, then went on to graduate with her MM in Music History and Literature in 2023. Throughout her academic career, she worked as a choral scholar and choir director for churches in Greenville. In 2021, she joined the music faculty at Chowan University as the Director of Choral Activities, where she conducted the Chowan Singers and taught music classes. In June 2025, Jordan returned to ECU as the Academic Advisor for the School of Music. She is passionate about student success and wellness and is looking forward to working with the talented Pirates in the School of Music! Outside of her work at ECU, Jordan sings for the Carolina Choral Artists. She enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her husband, Carey, her son, Emery, and her two cats, Obi and Soka.
