Graduate Assistantship in Guitar

Stipend –  All applications to the Graduate School and the School of Music must be completed by March 1 for active consideration (February 1 for international students). Earlier application submission and completion is strongly encouraged due to the competitive nature of these awards.

Responsibilities – Assistantship duties may include teaching applied guitar, group guitar classes, assisting with guitar ensembles, and assistance with jazz ensembles and jazz history classes. Other duties may be assigned depending upon qualifications and experience.

Application Procedures – Please apply through the ECU Graduate School. Repertoire for the audition should include at least three works in contrasting styles from the advanced solo literature. Applicants must satisfy all other entrance requirements for their proposed area of concentration in the School of Music.
