Bachelor of Music: Music Education
The Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree supports the completion of North Carolina K–12 Teaching Licensure in music. During their time in the program, students study with distinguished academic and studio faculty, perform in a variety of large and small ensembles, and engage in interactive, hands-on learning experiences that develop the craft of music teaching and learning in K–12 schools and community settings. Graduates of the program are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and leadership necessary to succeed as impactful music educators throughout North Carolina and across the United States.

Admission Process & Requirements
All music majors require the following steps to Admission:
- Apply to East Carolina University
- Apply to the ECU School of Music
- Schedule and complete an audition
Regardless of audition result, students not admitted to East Carolina University will not be able to attend classes in their intended semester. Audition before the end of February to be eligible for scholarship consideration.
