Ms. Buccola is in demand as a freelance bassist, actively performing with many orchestras in the NC/VA region. She was Assistant Principal Bass with the Greensboro Symphony from 2006-2012 and has performed regularly with North Carolina Symphony since 2005. She also performs with North Carolina Opera, often as principal or assistant principal bass, as well as with Virginia Symphony, ensembles at DPAC, area choral societies, chamber music ensembles and ballet companies. She has performed with great artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Renée Fleming, Edgar Meyer, Branford Marsalis, Joshua Bell, Pink Martini, The Eagles, Weird Al, and many others.

Ms. Buccola is a current member of American String Teachers and the International Society of Bassists. She is also a member of Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, plus the academic honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma.

When not performing, teaching, or working in the business world, she enjoys spending time with family/friends, reading, traveling, and herding her children or cats.
